Ficus Lyrata Plant belongs to the Moraceae family and the Ficus genus.It is an evergreen plant with an arboreal structure.This species has an African origin, and is very common in the Western and Central Africa where it grows in a typical Tropical climate.

The stem is not very branched in the pot-grown specimens while it grows extensively in the Temperate climate typical of the Mediterranean regions. The pot-grown plant has a shorter life compared to the plants that can develop in their natural habitat. Grown as a houseplant, Ficus Lyrata can reach a maximum height of 1.5 m and a width of 50-80 cm; in nature instead it has an arboreal structure with height ranging from 20 to 30 meters and a width of 10-20 mts.
